Message	gears. So the NA rear end is made for better acceleration, hence mated tot he NA engine. But the TT's rear end can attain much higher top speed. A trade off. The stock TT US vs JDM motors are essentially the same in terms of power output(maybe the precats are diff). I wouldn't be suprised if the US ones were a little stronger out of the box.
